Release Levels

General Availability Includes significant new features and bug fixes. Passes all unit tests, regression tests and manual confirmation tests. Includes updated documentation, samples and full support. Published about once a quarter. Suitable for live deployment. Supported
Nightly Fix Includes new features and bug fixes. Passes all unit and regression tests. May not have extensive manual tests or updated documentation. Website may include updated samples or knowledge base articles. Published daily.

  NOTE: The nightly fix build is generally stable and safe to use for live deployment to customers. However if you have problems or discover bugs, customer service  will generally require that you download the latest fixes before troubleshooting specific issues.		 Suitable for most live deployment. Supported, see notes.
Beta Includes new features and bug fixes as a preview for the next General Availability release. Passes most unit and regression tests. No manual tests or updated documentation.  Testing only. Supported as time permits.
Experimental Includes possibly broken or incomplete features. Passes some unit and regression tests. No manual tests or updated documentation.  Testing only. Unsupported

Side by Side Installations

  • The Nightly Fix will overwrite any existing General Availability release of the same major version number. 
  • Beta and Experimental releases can be installed side by side with General Availability or Nightly Fix releases.

Download Types

Public Download is available for all visitors.
Release Product release. You must be signed in under the account that purchased the product to download release versions.
Evaluation Product evaluation, available for all visitors. Serial numbers issued for the release version will not unlock the evaluation versions.
Accessory Additional download such as a sample, utility or document for a product.
Sample Sample project or resource for one of the training articles.
